2007-2008 Competitive Team Sponsor Book Guidelines
You can start selling sponsor book ads – the sponsor form and available ad list follow. DO NOT contact businesses listed with a current gymnast unless you are the gymnast that got the ad last year. Available ads that were in the book last year have a blank next to the advertiser. (Posted on the Parents’ Board or check a book from last year).
Please Note Changes:
1) This book will be yearbook format with a half page for each competitive gymnast – submit your bio and stay tuned for photo details – We will have action pictures taken for this page! .
2) There will not be any photos inserted into ads for businesses.
3) A hard copy must be submitted for every ad. We can also receive ads as a file or email but need the hard copy for verification. The business may choose to submit the same ad but we need a new copy to improve the quality of the final copy.
Please communicate to the advertiser: that they must provide a hard copy of copy- ready material (ads will be scanned into a computer layout program) that meet the required size dimensions as the quality of their ad depends on the quality of the material provided. Ads may also be submitted as a .jpg file on a disk or sent as electronically to Jim and Karen Lowery. Our book is published in color with a photocopy process, so please avoid sending color materials or negatives.
Please note the deadline of April 1st – all ads and payment must be turned in by this date. Your profit will be minus the cost of your book and any of your sponsors who wants a book.
Additional books will be provided at the request of each advertiser. When you sell ads find out if the sponsor wants a book to display and mark the ad form appropriately. This determines the number of books ordered. Any gymnast who isn’t getting sponsor in book, may order books at a later date.
Please copy the ad form as needed and provide to every sponsor. Make sure you complete the gymnast name and contact sections.
Reminder: DO NOT contact businesses that “belong” to a current gymnast. Once a gymnast obtains an advertiser, it’s hers until she leaves the program.
