AT THE WILSON SCHOOL
OF GYMNASTICS & DANCE
Mission Statement-
To provide a program where children can develop as successful athletes and to
teach lessons of commitment, leadership, self worth and team unity that will
help our members become well rounded confident adults.
The
Wilson Panther All Stars competitive cheerleading program began in the
2002-2003 season when a group of girls committed to a year of developing the
skills necessary to become competitive cheerleaders the following season. With
their dedication and hard work along with the guidance of head coach and
program coordinator Rachel Chapman they did just that.
While
Coach Rachel has an extensive gymnastics background (which greatly strengthens
our ability to teach safe and proper tumbling) she also brings 8 years of
cheerleading experience both cheering herself, and coaching. Our cheerleading
program also has the benefit of WSGD’s twenty-five plus years of experience
with competitive gymnastics and teaching children of all ages.
We are very proud of the
growth of our competitive cheerleading program. Much of this comes from the
many athletes who return year after year and encourage friends and family
members to join our family. We foresee not only the continuance of our past
successes, but through the hard work and dedication of our coaches, athletes
and their families, even greater achievement in the 2008/2009 season!
